Some like another restaurant, some like Chick Fil A, so many times we get breakfast from both. This morning, when I went to the other restaurant first, they left the coffee out of my order. I didn't notice that mistake until I was in the pickup at the Chick Fil A. The Chick Fil A team member was approaching my car to get my name while I was lamenting out loud that the neighboring restaurant had stiffed me on the coffee and now I was going to have to go back over there and wait to get it (even though I was running late on everything that morning) When he came back to my car to bring me the order, he had a cup of Chick Fil A coffee in hand for me. He fixed somebody else's customer service issue, and for that, I was blown away! He saved me time on a day in which I was already running late, and he saved me the frustration of having to deal with the issue at the other location. It's small, subtle acts like these that really build customer loyalty. Chick Fil A has always had a consistent customer experience across locations, but you really see the depth of their training when employees are allowed to think/act for themselves in a way that serves the establishment. I will be back more and be less inclined to have a "house divided" when we're getting breakfast from now on. One stop will do!
