Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
My girlfriend and I went through the drive thru and had the worst experience at this location. She asked for no salt on the fries and for a half sweet and half unsweetened tea. This is something we do all the time at many locations in DFW. They messed up on the tea and fries, so she had to walk inside to correct it. The man working was not apologetic and seemed to not care that the order was done wrong. A lady employee snatched the tea away and said she would redo it. When she brought it back it was still very sweet. My girlfriend settled on a soda to get back on the road. They gave her new fries and she came back outside to the vehicle. When she tasted the fries, they still had salt. At that point she wanted a refund. I went inside and asked for a refund. The lady employee that redid my girlfriend’s tea was there. I explained why we wanted a refund. She made a comment saying it’s hard to eat salt free at a fast food restaurant. I wasn’t looking for her excuses and asked for a refund. Another young female employee asked for the manager and when she came out, I explained the situation. She only offered to have a discussion with her crew to do better and refunded my money. I left the food on the counter and will never come to this establishment again. If you have any special requests, this place is not for you.

Most Whataburgers are the same. The service was good, and the food was, as well.

I stopped by for dinner yesterday and the food was ok but the manager that was working was horrible. I think his name was Gary, was yelling at one of his employees simply because she was trying to help give out someone's order. Claiming all she was doing was getting in the way and being useless, the poor girl looked like she was about to cry and this isnt even the first time ive seen him do this kind of stuff i dont know why yall even have him anymore let alone working with the kids if he can't be nice to them.
