- DDDavidJan 4, 20261.0We love this place. Well, used to. The food is always good but the customer service has gone down hill the past few months. The many times we have came in the past few months we have waited up to about 1 hr for our food and the bartender, female, is a chatty Kathy and not even making drinks that get printed out. Took us about 20 mins to get our drinks a few times after ordering them. Neither of these visits were it busy. How much we love this food here, unfortunately the customer service and wait times are horrible here and we plan on checking out the new sushi place directly across 249.

My father asked for a refill of Sake about 10 minutes ago and still hasn’t gotten it. We got here at 7:20 and got our food at 8:26. I used to love this place but from the extremely long wait time to the awkward environment, i don’t think i’m coming here again.

It is our go-to sushi spot near our home and my daughter’s favorite restaurant, which is why she specifically requested a gift card here as her Christmas present. After our meal, when it was time to pay, I was told that the gift card did not go through. The manager, Carlos, reached out to the owners, but they said there was nothing they could do. They also suggested that the gift card might be for their second location, which was not true. I pulled up the gift card and showed the manager that it clearly listed the 249 Tomball location. None of these restrictions are disclosed anywhere on their website, the gift card, or the receipt. They even charge a service fee to buy the gift card online, yet refused to honor it. These are extremely shady business practices. What should have been a special moment for my daughter turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable experience. We STRONGLY caution others before purchasing gift cards here or you too will have a useless gift card that you’re unable to use.
