Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The cashier (a senior citizen like myself) was extremely pleasant, and knowledgeable enough about the selections to help my party decide what to order. (Kudos to Whataburger for job opportunities for all!) We received our food quickly and the bowl I tried for the first time was delicious . The restaurant was busy, but not crowded at the time, so great for a nice and quiet Sunday breakfast. When back in the area, I will definitely stop by this location again!

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, I utilized the drive-thru service and received an order of chicken strips that appeared to be undercooked. Upon contacting the establishment to report this issue, the manager expressed skepticism, stating that several orders had recently been dispatched. I clarified that my order was among those referenced. The manager then indicated that a replacement would necessitate the return of the original meal or a photographic submission at a later time. I endeavored to communicate that my primary concern was not a complimentary meal, but rather to prevent potential health risks to other patrons. I am perplexed as to why the emphasis was placed on meal replacement rather than an immediate internal review of food preparation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards.

If I could give zero stars ⭐️… I would. I used to love ordering from this Whataburger—whether in person or through DoorDash. But lately, the quality has completely tanked, and DoorDash isn’t the problem. I live just minutes away, yet my chicken tenders arrive dry and overcooked, fries soggy and unsalted—like the food was made hours ago. I gave it another shot through the drive-thru, hoping it was a delivery issue. Nope. Same disappointing meal. This location no longer reflects the Whataburger standard. The decline in food quality is obvious and needs to be addressed.
