  We went for Christmas Eve dinner. The crab cake was okay but for the price, I would get it from Landry's instead. I had the NY Strip and Truffle Mac'n'Cheese, my mom had the salmon and my dad had the Ribeye and potatoes. We also had the bread pudding. It was okay but not my favorite. The quality didn't match the price.

  1st Del Frisco experience on 1/4/26 for my 32nd birthday! Food was phenomenal. Staff was absolutely amazing! We had a shrimp allergy in our party and the entire team showed genuine concern and made sure my sister's meal was properly handled to avoid contamination. JENNY was our server and was an absolute GEM! Seriously, I don't think I have ever received service comparible to hers, and we have done lots of "fine" dining in the area. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone we know and we will definitely be back.

  Del Frisco’s Grille is a beautiful location on the water, and we did appreciate that they were open on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a big disappointment — especially for the price point and the effort we put into making it a special occasion. The martini was beautiful and tasted great, but that was the highlight of the meal. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi and it was dry, cold, and extremely over-spiced. I could not eat the fish on its own — it was that bad. Because I eat gluten-free, my side options were very limited. The only palatable option was mashed potatoes, which I ordered with lobster in an attempt to save the dish. I ended up cutting the fish up and mixing it into the potatoes just to make it tolerable. My boyfriend ordered mashed potatoes plain, but they were sent out with chives and had to be returned. Service issues added to the frustration. Our waitress spilled my boyfriend’s Dr. Pepper on the bench, and no one came back to clean it up. I had to grab extra napkins myself to wipe down the bench so it wouldn’t get on my white dress, and the soda was left puddled on the floor — which I had to step in every time I got up from the table. For a restaurant of this caliber, especially on a holiday and at these prices, the food quality and attention to detail were far below expectations. It was a disappointing experience for what should have been a special Christmas meal.

  My husband and I shared the Holiday with our best friends today and the food quality overall was spot on. The soup could have been warmer. Our waitress did a nice job over all but the kudos go to Calib, part of the support team. Calib was all over the restaurant supporting multiple waiters. He had a pleasant smile and a wonderful attitude. For that, I pulled him aside as we left and he was hustling to support the waitstaff. One of the managers asked if the could help and I told them that I wanted a brief chat with Calib. The manager took the food that Calib was delivering to allow me to speak with Calib. I complimented him on his service and thanked him with a special tip just for him. He asked if I was sure and I said I was quite sure. Thank you Calib and Del Frisco Woodlands.
