  If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food paired with exceptional customer service, Taqueria Taxco in The Colony is the place to go. I come here often, and every single time, Rita takes incredible care of me — whether it’s 6:00 AM or 10:00 AM, she is always there with the same warm attitude, fast service, and genuine kindness. She truly goes above and beyond. I also want to mention Yesnesey who is incredibly kind and helpful every time I stop by. She greets you with a smile, makes sure you have everything you need, and brings such positive energy to the experience. Both Rita and Yenisey make this location feel welcoming, consistent, and truly special. Their service is the reason I keep coming back. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comforting but the incredible service from Rita and Jenny takes it to another level. Highly recommend this location, and definitely recommend you ask for Rita or Yenisey. They will take care of you every single time.

  The best tacos in town!!! And I am talking about REAL TACOS dr trompo!😍😍😍😍😮‍💨😮‍💨 ever since I tried their tacos it has become out go-to place for sure. And better yet…. THEYRE 24/7! So anytime is taco timeee🫶🏻

  First time here but The one in Garland is way better both food and service, here food is ok but service is bad. No one even ask if everything was fine or we needed something else. We have to stand up every time and ask for things. Doesn't feel welcoming here. Probably not coming back to this location.

  They gave me a lot of joy to see the sign for the taqueria for the first time, and even more so because the name was familiar, so I decided to give it a chance and take my daughters there to eat. When we walked in, the atmosphere felt cheerful and very picturesque, but unfortunately, the staff didn’t reflect that feeling. They were just standing there waiting to see what we would order, didn’t greet us, and lacked hospitality towards the customer. But that was minor at first. I would have liked if they had recommended something or asked if it was our first time there, or just welcomed us, but they didn’t. We ordered without really knowing what to get; the food was okay, we just went for the usual. The tacos looked good, everything looked fine, but the meat was a bit dry, and especially the tortillas were very dry, making it hard to eat the taco because they were tough. Aside from that, everything else was fine. Only one of the staff members was kind and polite because one of my daughters had an accident, and she was very courteous. I’ll give it another chance to see if the hospitality improves next time, but I would definitely like them to work on that.

  I found this place over the summer and was blown away by the flavors and how fresh the food is. Tonight was different. In the drive-thru I ordered a #13 and 2 churros. I waited in line for about 30mins or more. (I dont mind waiting as I have waited that long before and its always worth the wait.) As usual they were busy. I got my food and when I got home all my food was cold. Mind you I live 5minutes from the restaurant. The churros were cold and the birria tacos were so cold the cheese wasnt even melted. Idk who was cooking tonight but I am HIGHLY disappointed. Fast food is NOT CHEAP these days. If im paying almost $25 for one person I expect great food. You all are always busy and its never affected the quality of food you have produced in the past, dont start slipping now.
