I tried this place for the first time, and my opinion it’s okay, but not what we had expected. We ordered a chili cheese hot dog, a cheeseburger, and an Italian beef sub. We only liked the cheeseburger. The rest of the food was not that good. The sub was missing some good seasoning and sauce. The chili cheese hot dog tasted like a 7-Eleven hot dog—nothing special.

Ordered the Beef & Cheddar on Croissant. The sandwich was small, mushy and mostly tasteless. The roast beef mostly was not contained on the "bread", and the "bread" was doughy and not fully cooked. Once it was then soaked in whatever juices were on the roast beef it turned into a breadlike paste. All of that for $17. Thanks but no thanks.

Not worth the hype. Good portion for the price but the Italian sandwiches have NO flavor. Just tastes like meat. Beef and cheddar was all beef no cheddar no flavor. Hamburger was good but better other places. Didn't get the hot dog but won't come back to try. People were nice though!

The service was slow but good, it also was during peel lunch time so not too bad! Atmosphere was nice and spacious, good seating for how packed it was. The food was the biggest issue for me. Do not get the beef croissant!!! It was literally the most soggy nasty thing I’ve ever seen! I literally gagged and could not eat it. I threw the soggy bread away and went to get a dry croissant to add the meat back onto. That made it better but the flavor is still lacking. Would definitely try something else if I was you!

Disappointing food quality & unprofessional service I visited the Portillo’s location in The Colony, TX and had a very disappointing experience across multiple orders. On my first visit, I ordered an Italian beef bowl with a croissant. The croissant was cold, and the Italian beef and gravy were extremely bland—no flavor at all. This was unacceptable for a $16 order. Later that same day, I returned for a shake and onion rings. The onion rings were not fresh and clearly had been sitting out. In addition to the food quality issues, the drive-thru service was unprofessional. When I pulled up to pick up a mobile order, I clearly stated, “I’m picking up a mobile order for ****.” The employee immediately asked, “What’s the name?”—despite me having just said it. It may seem small, but combined with the food issues, it came across as careless and inattentive. For a brand like Portillo’s, I expect fresh food, basic attention to detail, and respectful service. This location missed the mark entirely. I’ve submitted this feedback in hopes that management will review these issues and make it right.
