We have not been to this chain for years and decided to try again. It was a great visit. Food was delicious and staff very attentive. We will be back again.
We visited this restaurant on a busy weekend night when there was a youth sports team present who had been seated just before we were. Our waitress, Christina, was so positive and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of despite our longer than typical wait for entrees to arrive. The food was delicious as usual, but the service was what made our visit even better. Christina was such a light, very kind, anticipated our needs, and made for an overall wonderful experience.

My wife and I are in town because I had some speaking engagements. We have great memories of On the Border restaurants in different places where we’ve lived so when we saw one was here, we decided to try it. It certainly did not disappoint. The chips and salsa were very good. I had the beef burrito with white queso sauce, and my wife had vegetable quesadillas. Everything was excellent. Andrew was our server and did a fantastic job. This is a definite “go to” place for great Tex-Mex food!

I tried the new menu items and overall, I’m pretty happy with the changes. The new salsa is very flavorful, but I do think it would be better if it weren’t served warm. At room temperature, it’s perfect.
I wasn’t a fan of the original rice at OTB, but the new rice definitely has a distinct taste. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either—it’s just okay for me.
The charro beans, on the other hand, are on point—I absolutely love them. I also tried the Southwest chicken tacos for the first time. They were good, but I’m more of a beef person. Still, it was nice to try something different.
We will NOT stop coming to OTB because of the changes. In fact, I like most of the updates they’ve made. Don’t pass judgment until you’ve tried it for yourself!

Food Poisoning! Do not eat here!
We came in around 3pm on a Monday after driving all day (ate nothing at all on the road). When we came to eat with our 10 month old, all went well in store. Server was nice food was quick, we paid and checked into our hotel down the road.
12am 10month old throwing up. Nothing too out of place there for the baby.
1am Mom is on the john and throwing up at the same time.
2am I’m doing the same but we only had one bathroom so I’m in the hotel lobby bathroom (sorry hotel).
We got the worst food poisoning and all threw up for the entire day. We couldn’t even keep water down. Going to the urgent care, the Dr. told us about rice. He said specifically to never eat rice unless it was cooked right then fresh. He told us the restaurant likely cooked the rice at open, and because traffic was slow on a Monday we likely got the same batch that had been cooked earlier that morning. A big no-no. He told us to call the store and tell them.
When I called I asked for the manager and talked to Oscar. He told me he doubted we got it from “his restaurant”. He assured me they clean and all wash their hands. He was dismissive and obviously doesn’t understand how bacillus cereus toxin works. He didn’t do anything to make it right no refund, took no accountability.
We will never be back.
Finally, after almost 3 days, the three of us are all back to normal and are able to eat anything other than broth.
I’d like to hear from somebody still on this. Im baffled by the wild response I got from the manager in store when I called…
Push this up to corporate.
