We decided to try again. The restaurant gave us delicious bread. The accompanying herbed butter was old, too cold to spread and contained sugar. The sugar overpowered the beautiful herbs. We ordered arancini and the fried burrito for appetizers. The arancini was a definite home run. I could have taken home bags of this. The burrata was colder than room temperature. This was disappointing. We were there during the time when breakfast items were served and I was excited to try the bacon and egg carbonara. When it was presented, the carbonara looked so full of bacon. I took my first bite, the salt was so overpowering that it was inedible. The server took it away and offered a remake. What I received was overcooked pasta in broth with some bacon and a nice egg on the top. I took one bite just to try it. Nope. It was definitely not carbonara in any way shape or form. It should be noted that this is a repeat of our last experience. They knock it out of the park and then turn south on the entrees. There won't be a third visit.

Because we didn't order alcohol it was immediately clear we didn't matter. We ordered the bread and didn't get the oil that usually comes with it. Our entrees weren't offered the parmesan for entrees- which I like with mine. I couldn't get a water refill to save my life. I had to ask for coffee because of how cold it was inside. Myself, along with everyone in the restaurant we were wearing winter coats and a table close to us even complained about the temperature. No coffee refill either. She asked if we wanted dessert and we got two and then she started to pay a bit more attention. Sadly, a birthday celebration there wasn't what I thought it would be.

I wish we could remember his name but he was very charismatic and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious and we were even treated to a complimentary dessert. We most definitely will be back to dine here again in the near future. Thank you!
