Parking lot is absolutely terrible. Store is old and needs to either be completely renovated or moved to a larger location. Staff is always nice. Prices are not great and not what HEB is known for. We live minutes from location but would rather travel to Belton for a much nicer store. Not a lot grocery choices in Temple, which is crazy considering how big Temple is.

Please address the behavior of some curbside shoppers. During my visit today, I had multiple uncomfortable encounters that felt unprofessional and discourteous.
In the toothpaste aisle, a curbside shopper stood extremely close to me without saying “excuse me.” I moved once I realized she was there, yet she never acknowledged it or said thank you. Later, in the tea aisle, a different curbside shopper behaved similarly. The aisle was tight with customers, and instead of politely asking to pass, she simply stood there until we moved, pushed her cart through, and again offered no “excuse me” or “thank you.”
These interactions are exhausting and make it feel as though some curbside shoppers disassociate themselves from being H-E-B employees, behaving as if they are the only ones in the store. This is very unprofessional. Regardless of their role, curbside shoppers are still H-E-B employees and should treat in-store customers with basic respect and kindness. Management needs to do a better job addressing and correcting these behaviors.

I went to this location yesterday to pick up my son’s birthday cake scheduled for Friday, 1/16 at 1:00 PM. When I arrived, it took several minutes for staff to look for the cake, only to tell me it was listed for Saturday, 1/17 on their end. I showed my paperwork, which clearly stated Friday, 1/16 with a 1:00 PM pickup time. Their paperwork had Friday scratched out and Saturday circled, which appears to have caused the confusion.
I explained that I needed the cake that day since the birthday party was already scheduled. Instead of having the cake ready, they had to make it while I waited, even though the error was not on my end. I ended up waiting nearly an hour, which made me late to the party. When the cake was finally brought out, it was obvious it had been rushed, but I didn’t have time to ask for corrections due to the delay.
While they did reduce the price from $34 to $19, the experience was still very frustrating and stressful. Unfortunately, this is the second issue I’ve had with cake orders at this H-E-B bakery. A few months ago, I picked up my daughter’s cake and it was completely different from what I ordered, and again, there wasn’t time to fix it before her party.
I’m disappointed with the consistency and organization of the bakery at this location and hope these issues are addressed moving forward.
