Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Eventually, I started trying new places and discovered In-N-Out, which I thought couldn’t be topped. Then a work trip brought me to Texas. That’s when I came across Whataburger. The bright, eye-catching sign pulled me in, and I figured it was worth a try. I wasn’t expecting much—but it ended up being on a completely different level. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right, with meat that was tender and satisfying in every bite. Even before I ordered, the smell from the kitchen had me hungry. On top of that, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, which stood out to me right away. The place itself was clean and well cared for, and the quality of the ingredients really came through in the food. If I’m ever back in Texas, this is definitely a place I’ll be going out of my way to visit again.

I wait for her to help the other person in front of me before he even leaves the counter she rudely asks what I need, I tell her the issue and she rolls her eyes and huffs. She gets the brownies and then throws them in my bag and says “sorry have a good night”
