Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Just went through the drive thru. Paid at the first window, the girl handed my card back and said thank you. I got up to the next window and the two guys there claimed my cards had been declined and still I needed to pay. I wanted my food so I handed them my card thinking that it was strange that the girl at the first window didn’t say anything. I logged into my bank account and saw that not only was I charged twice, but the second charge was for more than the first. So now I had to go inside and the manager just said too bad and that they can’t do anything until it clears my account and then I have to go back in and try to get a refund. Definitely the last time I stop at this Whataburger.

Stephanie is trying to do too much on the front counter by herself screwing up orders. Mixing up receipts and table numbers. Get this girl some help she's overwhelmed. Had you'd never fired Portia...things would be running smoothly.

Avoid this location if you expect basic service or quality.
I placed a dine-in order through the mobile app, including a Dr Pepper shake. The shake was made incorrectly—my first sip was straight, unmixed syrup. That alone shows a complete lack of quality control.
It got worse from there. Even though I ordered ahead and gave the kitchen time, multiple customers who walked in after me were served first and were already eating while my order hadn’t even been finished. There was clearly no organization or priority system for mobile orders.
I eventually had to go up to the counter myself to ask where my food was and pick it up—so much for dine-in service.
When I brought this up to the manager (Bahar), the response was indifferent and dismissive. No accountability, no urgency, no real attempt to fix the situation. After that, I was approached again while trying to eat, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional given everything that had already happened.
Between the poorly made food, disorganized service, and lack of customer care, this was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had.
This location seriously needs better management, better training, and basic attention to quality and customer service.
