Instead of letting us pay normally, they added a gratuity to the bill beforehand and just handed us a piece of paper to sign. We never consented to this. (We always pay Tips.) It feels like they are profiling customers based on the location/demographic and assuming we won't pay a tip. This behavior is rude, and I won't be coming back.

Ly's reincarnation as Ly's Kitchen comes with a larger dining area and a delicious buffet. My wife's friend treated us to the buffet, and I loved everything I ate. The staff attentively refilled items and the place was packed with regulars. If you want the buffet, make sure to come on Wednesdays. Based on the menu, I will try the Pho, too. In tonight's buffet: orange chicken, jalapeño beef, steamed chicken dumplings were all standouts. My daughter said to the staff "thank you for feeding my fami-Ly."

However, when I got home, I saw that the walnuts on my “Candied Walnut Shrimp” were charred! Why would you serve that? Also, the sauce tasted just like straight mayonnaise (wouldn't recommend). But, the broth for my Pho was actually delicious. That said, I was disappointed that my order didn't include any condiments—none at all; no hoisin, soy, or chili sauce—just a bag of bean sprouts and basil. Maybe it was just a bad night. Still, I won’t be coming back to this restaurant.
