    H-E-B is my go-to store. I can find almost everything I need here — fresh vegetables, snacks, meat, and spices. The quality of the products is consistently good, and it’s very convenient for regular grocery shopping.

    Last night I bought ground sirloin and salmon from HEB Sugar Land (it shows as store #627 on my bank statement). Went to cook them today, and both were spoiled. This is the third time I’ve bought protein that was spoiled, from this location. The ground sirloin looked perfectly red on the outside but the inside was completely gray. The same thing happened with a package of ground chuck I previously purchased at this location. The salmon looked fine, wasn’t slimy, and didn’t smell while it was raw. But as it cooked, it smelled weird. I finished cooking it and (reluctantly) tried it, and it tasted just as weird as it smelled. I tossed both in the trash and called for a refund, which I can’t get until I go back into the store 😑

    This store is amazing. It can get very crowded at times, but it’s still a great place to shop. My family is from Arkansas and we recently moved to Texas, so this was our first time experiencing H-E-B — and we absolutely love it. They have a huge variety of just about everything you could need, and the store is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. Walmart definitely has some competition, because H-E-B just gained a customer for life. I haven’t gone back to Walmart since discovering this place 🤷‍♀️🤗

    My husband went to pick up my curb side order scheduled 6:00-6:30 pm. I had not received a text and when he sent me the screenshot of where he parked I realized I had not received the check in text. I called curb side and the person I spoke to who did not identify herself told me to send a text to the number letting them know he was there. Approx 10 min later a person came out to his vehicle to confirm he was there. He waited another 30 min and texted at 6:45 the groceries still had not shown up. I went to the app. And it showed shopping which means they were just starting to pull my groceries at 6:45 for a 6:00 to 6:30 pickup. I called curb side again and spoke to the same person asking for her name, making her aware that I knew they had just started pulling my groceries. She would not provide her 1st name and I asked that my order be canceled and given a refund. I asked again for her name and she hung up. I called and spoke with the store manager lexi or alexis who knows what her real name was. I explained what had happened. She offered a 25.00 gift card but I had to come into the store to pick it up. I asked instead of the 25.00 gift card for her to finish filling the order and deliver it. She said they could not do that. Yes they can because that is an option on their web site but she would not do it in this circumstance. That seemed like a fair request for a customer who did nothing wrong and the fault was 100% HEBS fault. Hopefully I will get reimbursed in a timely manner and not face retaliation from the HEB manager by holding my funds for days. Still no groceries either. HEBS you have always had my respect and are better than what is being represented by these employees. DO BETTER training on what customer service means. Update: 7:42 text received that my order is ready. Now I know HEB is trying to retaliate and keep my money or delay reimbursing it. Called and spoke to another manager Mariomo recapping the story and telling him I have now received a text telling me my order is ready. He said he will investigate and call me back in 10 minutes. Stay tuned. I will give credit to Mariamo he called back and we are working toward a resolution that should be finalized tomorrow on 2/14. Still leaving a 1 star until this is settled. F/u next day. Plan was to reorder groceries through curbside and Mariamo would provide a discount. I initially placed the order but then canceled because I did not feel safe going through curbside knowing the employee could access my order. Mariamo did follow up and I explained that I would not be using their curb side anymore and stated my reason. Will leave a 1 star because HEB was 100% at fault with no satisfactory resolution. I provided them with a very reasonable option but they were not willing to follow through.
