She barked out orders at my 1 year old son and I not to take our cart in the restroom (this was before we went grocery shopping, we had nothing in our cart), which we had never been told before and done countless times and there is also no sign saying to not bring carts in. I can totally understand her directions even just for sanitary reasons, but there was no kindness/understanding for a mom just trying to use the restroom and change her son's diaper. Just a simple smile or "I apologize for any inconvenience," would have gone a long way. Shopping with a toddler is hard. My guess is that she was not a mom.

The produce selection is very very good, Items that are hard to find at other stores are accessible at HEB. Meat fridges appear to be clean and never smell like Walmart does. I do miss a few of the specialty items that HEB used to have like the small whole rose buds and other imported items in the foreign food isle. This HEB is pretty good despite it being smaller and having less of a selection compared other HEB stores but it ALWAYS beats walmart.

I always enjoy shopping here, but my recent visit was exceptional thanks to three standout employees who went above and beyond. German in Produce was incredibly helpful. I asked for organic iceberg lettuce, and when there wasn’t any in the section he was stocking, he directed me to another area. Moments later, he returned with a fresh box straight from the back, opened it with a smile, and let me pick the best heads. Truly exceptional service! At checkout, Ashley W was patient and kind when several post-holiday markdown items didn’t ring up correctly. She carefully corrected each price to ensure I was charged properly—great attention to detail. Luz, the bagger, exceeded expectations too. While Ashley fixed the pricing issues, Luz proactively scanned larger items and anything that didn’t need bagging, speeding up the process and making everything smoother. Her genuine smile and positive attitude were unmatched. This level of teamwork, positive attitude, and genuine care isn’t my first experience at HEB, but these three made a real positive impact. Thank you, German, Ashley, and Luz—you deserve recognition! Highly recommend this store for the unbeatable selection, value, and service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
