I did not tip bc Im done paying for people who don’t want to do their job. I can’t believe someone can perform so badly with all the proper tools at their fingertips. We ordered the A. and received the Ponchatrain. We split the order and she did not split it in the back like previously done for us at another visit. She barely spoke to us. We had to ask for refills on drinks from another person. We have previously had our need met before we had to ask. The server knew she had the wrong order bc she grappled with serving it. She said something about taking Ponchatrain orders all day. This is NOT the norm for The Pappas restaurants. This visit was just not quality of service we have come to love and expect at these restaurants.

I’ve been coming here for years and just realized I never left a review.
Pappadeaux is a Houston staple. And I will be frequenting them more often during lent.
I usually order the crawfish combo but swap out the fried crawfish for sautéed crawfish, it’s not on the menu but that’s the way I’ve been ordering it for years. They also offer Mango flavoring with their sweet tea. The bread service is simple but solid. And their staff is always top notch.

My CEO took about 8 of us out for dinner. We all love Pappadeaux, however, the other night was not the best. Food was good (especially crab/shrimp salad but the bbq shrimp was too salty) but the service was the worst my CEO and anyone else have ever encountered. The waiter asked me for my drink order and I politely asked if he would attend to the ladies first before taking my order. It seemed he got upset. He went around the table and then forgot to get my order. I was hoping to get an old fashioned. When he came back, he brought too many waters. gave me one then took it away and then gave me another water and placed one in the empty seat across from me. Made me wonder if he did something to it. Either way, we had appetizers and when he came back he asked if we were ready, we all said yes and he takes off. He came back about 3 minutes later. My CEO was upset because this is usually her favorite place but the service that night really left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Eduardo was all we could talk about when we left because we have never had this level of service at any Pappa's restaurant. I never did get a refill on my water either. It was also a quiet Monday night so it wasn't busy. Just not sure what was going on. It will definitely be a long time before any of us return to this Pappadeaux.

The good: service.
The bad and the I dont recommend going there even for my worst enemy...
I asked for the Jumbo Shrimp Brochette. (It consists of large, butterflied shrimp stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese and a sliver of fresh jalapeño, wrapped in bacon, and grilled. ). And All of the bacon was raw inside and not even well cooked outside. Im begging god not getting sick, tomorrow i have to work a double shift .....
Such a great dissapointment, i was a huge fan of this restaurant....
Update after a Few hours later ... Sadly im getting a little sick , and i need to work tomorrow... i feel i want to 🤢....
I forgot to mention, that my friend asked for a fish and also it seem kind of not well cooked..
Update next day.... iM really sick... ☹️.. expensive food and uncooked...

Hi Pappadeaux’s I’m about to be your worst critic, I don’t even know we’re to start it was so horrible. I had my reservations about going but I went because it was my mother’s bday. The prices are outrageous for the quality and portions of food given. Our server Bailey was not good at all, he did absolutely nothing right! Everyone’s food was cold and nasty! Even the bread and butter came out hard and cold and I hate cold fries! (That’s what I got with my order, cold fries, shrimps, and tenders) y’all couldn’t even get something simple right which is why I only ordered that!!! Bailey was not attentive at all, it was like begging for help! I work too hard for my money to throw it away! Then Bailey said he charged the wrong amount for my order and he had to void the amount and charge the correct amount, I’m still waiting on the voided amount to reverse. I was so upset I just left without letting my family know! I will never return idc who bday it is!
