Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently praised the friendly and efficient service from staff members like Kris and Cadyn, although some reported rude interactions and slow service at times.

Whataburger is hit or miss, but usually pretty good. I get my food very quick most of the time but occasionally can take longer. The main problem I have is some days the food tastes better than other days, and that Whataburger has a tendency of getting my order wrong. Sometimes the workers have a very thick accent and can be a little mean so it can be hard to communicate. But most the time very nice and good service and food is great.

I’ve tried giving this Whataburger location multiple chances, but tonight was the last straw. I waited in the drive-thru for about 15 minutes with no cars ahead of me and kept being told, “just give me a minute.” The employee sounded dismissive and uninterested, and no one ever came back to take my order. I eventually gave up and drove off.
Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated issue. Orders from this location are frequently wrong — missing ingredients, missing sides, and even missing entrées. A few months ago, I ordered a meal to go and got home to find my fries were missing. When I called, the manager asked me to drive back during peak traffic just to get the fries. There was no apology, she just sounded annoyed that I didn’t want to make another trip. Instead I just ate my burger with no fries and never went back for my side of fries that she offered to replace on another visit.
At this point, it feels like there’s no accountability and no real concern for customer experience. I’ve avoided this location for months and only came back because family wanted it, but this confirmed I won’t ever be returning. Too many mistakes and too little care.

Been to other whatsburgers around the city but not like this. We wanted shakes in the middle of the day and glad we did. Went through the drive-thru and the young lady that took the order was incredibly pleasant. Pulled up to the window to get the shakes and she was just a nice in person. Made sure I got straws, napkins and just unlike any other experience. From when I pulled into the parking lot there wasn't trash everywhere unlike others i have visited. Looked very clean and cared for. I wish more people worked for other whatsburger locations and restaurants like this young lady.
