- DBDeanna Bosco5 days ago5.0The first clue that this was going to be an excellent visit was when the manager overheard our attempt to order something that was taken off the menu the day before and told the cashier how to ring it up because they still had left what was needed. Then we noticed that the booths were all freshly washed. Then the cook double checked that our order, adapted for the needs of my autistic daughter, was absolutely correct. Once we had a taste of our food, the manager checked again that it was correct and tasted great! I highly rec the Spring, TX, Cypresswood location of SmashBurger!

The chicken strips are a standout, crispy, flavorful, and easily the best item ordered. Cleanliness and staff response were the problem. A German cockroach was visibly crawling on the wall. Staff appeared unfazed. There was no clear apology. One employee attempted to kill it but could not reach it, then moved on. The situation was left unresolved and visibly present. That single issue overshadowed the meal. Regardless of food quality, a live cockroach in the dining area and a casual staff reaction immediately kills confidence and atmosphere. Overall: good-tasting food, strong chicken strips, but overpriced for an experience undermined by unacceptable sanitation concerns and poor staff response.
