  Chuck from the bbq place is THE MAN! My pregnant wife has the craving of ribs, I was 15 minutes out, called to see if they had any left and were down to the last 2 racks I said “sir, can you help me somehow” he saved one of the last 2 racks of ribs for me. My wife was happy and I got lucky… Thank you chuck! 😂

  Late post but the service garners a review. Early December I hosted an event for the men of our church. We order BBQ from a local place that always services our events. On the day of the event I called to inquire on when our order would be ready only to be told that they are now closed on that specific day and only open on the weekends. In a scrambling effort I landed on True Texas BBQ that had just opened in our town. I called and asked if they could fulfill a large order in a very short amount of time to which the replied “Absolutely!” The event was saved and the BBQ was good and less expensive than the other. From now on I will be using them to provide BBQ for my events with the church! The manager Juan Ortega and his staff were amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and then some! Highly recommend!!!

  Ate here on a whim today because it’s dangerous going grocery shopping on an empty stomach. I got a chopped brisket sandwich for a very reasonable $7.29. It was fantastic. Smoky, beefy and perfectly seasoned and sauced. Chuck was incredible friendly and doing it all in the front. Taking orders, helping customers and filling to go orders all while keeping the restaurant clean. Great experience. Will be back.

  This place is seriously impressive. The brisket and ribs were excellent, and the sides (fried okra, cornbread, mac & cheese, and the loaded baked potato) were just as amazing. But the real highlight was the service. Chuck took my order, remembered my name, and personally delivered the food to my table while greeting me by name again. That kind of hospitality is rare these days. You can tell they really care about the customer experience. Highly recommend!

  This was our first time and WOW what an amazing experience! Everything was clean and the menu was easy to read. Love all the options. The food was delicious and well thought out. We tried everything and I just can’t choose a favorite. The icing on the cake was Chuck! He helped walk us through the menu and gave great suggestions. He even treated us to the Churro pudding. It’s service like this that keeps customers coming back. Thank you for the wonderful dinner!
