  First time here today! My daughters wanted to try a lot of different fruits. Maddison who works in produce was absolutely amazing! She was so kind! Not only did she explain how to pick out yummy yellow dragon fruit, mangos, star fruit etc.... she gave us a free bag of the fruits the girls were gonna try for the first time!!!! It was so sweet and meant the world to my girls! Thank you Madison! Because of you I'll be driving 20 mins to shop here more often!!!

  Well, first time @ this Central Market. Been going to the San Antonio location for decades. Literally DECADES. So this iteration of Central Market is not exactly the same as the SA store but has everything you could want. We chose the $250.00 cart-basket. The half baskets are $250.00 where the large baskets are $500.00 easy! Every single employee was beyond Texas Friendly and willing to assist you no matter the question... Extra bonus points for that.. Our new daughter in law had never been to a Central Market. She was floored. So, If you hit the lotto or your independently wealthy or you wanna go into a 30yr mortgage. This store is 4U. Unfortunately the closest store to our casa on South Padre Island is The SA location.. I absolutely love these stores. I will take my grandson soon! This is a generational experience. .. Ooooo! Bring a sweater. It's Cold in here. Plotted Scouts Out..

  My daughter said that wanted to go to Central Market so off we went. Since it was such a beautiful day we decided why not have lunch at the Central Market Cafe. Let me start by saying that I have always thought this place is really nice, neat, well organized and very clean. As we approached the register the young man working there was Mr. Jordan, very polite a quick and friendly smile and very welcoming. My daughter order the Roasted Turkey Club sandwich with fries and a drink for $11.00 and drink for $2.50. I had the Cereal Market Cheese burger with fries, fir $12.50 and drink for $2.50. Let me start with my fries, the seasoned to perfection crispy and nice and fresh and hot. The cheese burger was well cooked, but lacked salt, it came with dill pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on the side. Overall the burger was awesome. The roasted turkey club sandwich came with lettuce, tomatoes, roasted turkey, and bacon and she she it was very delicious. We also got a tiramisu cake and sushi from the actual store of central market. Since I don't eat fish or anything seafood, she said it was good. Although we did split the tiramisu cake and is one of the best tiramisu cakes I have ever eaten. After lunch we walked through the market part of this establishment. It's very big the displays of foods be it the cool/hot bars, are well organized, displays neatly laid out. The store it's self is very clean, well organized, staff working there really enjoy working there appeared to really enjoy working there, friendly, and ready to assist you. There is di much to write about, but I lack any good words to do it justice. The smells of the breads, the coffee aisles smell so inviting, the produce area is awesomely laid out and everything looks so delicious. We purchased two apples and a small container of mini plain scones. Mere words alone doesn't describe this store. You have to come and experience it for your self.

  This is my go-to grocery store for just about everything. They consistently have what I need, and the quality of their produce and meat is exceptional. The freshness and selection always exceed expectations. Coming from New England, I'm extremely picky about seafood, and this is the only place in the area where I'll buy it. That says a lot about their quality and standards. Crowds can be intense on Saturdays and Sundays, especially around the produce and meat sections. It feels like being packed in with sardines (lol pun), but that's just a sign of how popular the store is. If you prefer a calmer shopping experience, I recommend going on weekdays or in the evenings. The staff is friendly and helpful. Once, while I was debating how a seasonal product might taste, an employee overheard me and offered to open a box so I could sample it. I was honestly surprised to learn that they'll open almost anything for you to try. I declined and bought it anyway, but that level of service really impressed me. I also love how Central Market leans into the seasons. Their themed décor changes throughout the year, adding charm and warmth from the entrance to the back of the store. One Christmas, a violinist was performing near the seafood counter. Shopping for dinner while listening to live holiday music was such a special touch and exactly the kind of experience that makes this place stand out. The only reason I'm deducting a star is for the restrooms near the wine and beer section. On the very rare occasion I've had to use them, they've been filthy and unpleasantly odorous. For a store that takes such pride in presentation and quality, the bathrooms fall short of their otherwise excellent standards. Despite that, Central Market remains one of my favorite grocery destinations; a place that truly elevates the everyday shopping experience.

  On October 14, 2025, I shopped at Central Market Southlake and noticed that their Organic Japanese Sweet Potatoes and Organic Jewel Sweet Potatoes were displayed as organic but their PLU codes were #6355 and #6357 which are usually used for conventional produce. When I asked, I was told the manager said that sometimes organic produce doesn’t start with 9. Organic produce typically has a 5 digit PLU code starting with 9. PLUs are standardized globally for grocery labeling. So either there’s a mislabeling issue or the produce at that store wasn’t actually certified organic. Could Central Market Southlake clarify how organic labeling works at this store? I want to make sure I’m buying organic produce. Thank you.
