If I could leave zero stars, I would.
We’re currently on a road trip from Dallas to Lubbock and decided to stop in Seymour to try Sonic Drive-In for breakfast. We’ve passed through many times but never stopped, so we were actually excited to make it a little experience and sit at the tables with our family.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
When we tried to order, the system wasn’t working properly—they couldn’t hear us, and our order wasn’t being taken correctly. While we were trying to figure it out, a carhop (an older woman with long hair and glasses) walked out, looked directly at us, then went to assist another car. As she walked away, she visibly shook her head in frustration, which felt directed at us and was honestly very off-putting.
We waited, hoping someone would come back or help us complete our order, but no one ever did. We were never given a real chance to order our food, so we ended up leaving and going to Dairy Queen instead.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially since we were looking forward to stopping here as a family. Customer service and basic communication were both lacking.
