- SWStacy WardDec 2, 20251.0To the individual on the headset that told my husband that you cannot substitute a shake for a soda with a meal, this is for you, Yes, you can get a shake as a substitute for the drink in a Sonic meal, but it will likely cost extra. It is a common request, and Sonic's ordering system allows for it. So, that being said charging per item to up price is a clever move. Also, our order wasn't even made correctly, but was charged correctly on the receipt. Noted. Sub par service at best.

She gave me $3.00 from a $20 and no receipt so I have no idea what her name is or how much it was she did not ask me if I wanted my change. Sometimes I need that change to be able to eat. I am 74 year old woman with disabilities and a female Veteran service connected.
