    Haven’t had sonic in year but popped by tonight for two foot long hot dogs. The hot dogs were barely warm and did not taste great.

    To the individual on the headset that told my husband that you cannot substitute a shake for a soda with a meal, this is for you, Yes, you can get a shake as a substitute for the drink in a Sonic meal, but it will likely cost extra. It is a common request, and Sonic's ordering system allows for it. So, that being said charging per item to up price is a clever move. Also, our order wasn't even made correctly, but was charged correctly on the receipt. Noted. Sub par service at best.
