Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported long wait times and incorrect orders, leading to frustration with the service.
Food Quality
While some customers praised the food, others experienced cold or incorrect meals, indicating inconsistency in food preparation.
Staff Attitude
Customer service experiences varied widely, with some staff being friendly and helpful, while others were reported as rude or dismissive.
Atmosphere Changes
The recent remodel received negative feedback, with customers feeling it detracted from the dining experience.
Positive Experiences
Despite the issues, several customers expressed loyalty to the brand and appreciation for specific staff members who provided excellent service.

Slowest whataburger I've been to. Got a basic number 1, patty melt, and a kids burger. Paid, told to move up, and was left there for 30 damn minutes. Finally got the food and it's cold.. Would not be back.

They did away with the booths and put in furniture that is very uncomfortable to sit on if you have back, hip, or kneee issues. I used to love eating at Whata Burger but I won’t be back until they bring back the booths.

Everytime I come in to eat, I select "dine-in" on the kiosk when I'm ordering. Yet, they always bring my food out to min a sealed up paper bag. They never bring the condiment tray out either that they are supposed to bring for dine-in customers. I'm literally looking at another customer with a tray at their table. Like, why can your staff not follow simple instructions. Every time? It seems so small, but it's annoying as a customer that my order is not being followed as it was placed. Stop putting Dine-In orders in to-go bags!!!
