I stood there for a couple of minutes waiting to be helped while the woman behind the counter was humming along to her music and completely ignoring me. She didn’t even acknowledge that I was standing there until she finally decided to turn around. When she turned around I could see the AirPod in her right ear. Probably the reason for not acknowledging me. When I gave her my order, she acted like I was an inconvenience. Her tone was rude, and she seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. Customer service at a deli counter should be basic — at the very least, acknowledging customers and being polite. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I won’t be returning to this location based on this experience. I think the name tag said Teela on it. This experience is a bummer, just moved to the neighborhood and love coming to the smaller heb due to the amazing managers but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

The pharmacy is fantastic, super helpful and kind. But best of all, when my father was living with us, they stocked his favorite fancy marmalade. We didn’t ask for it, it just showed up on the shelves, and made my dad very happy. After he was gone, so was the marmalade. It just appeared when he needed it. See? Magical.
