The customer service here is extremely disappointing. I originally ordered a plain bagel and politely asked if I could exchange it for another flavor. The employee told me it wasn’t possible to exchange or refund it—which I could accept if it had been handled respectfully.
However, before even getting that answer, I stood at the counter for about two minutes while the older lady at the front completely ignored me. She was prepping items directly in front of me, clearly saw I was waiting, yet avoided eye contact. When she finally walked past, I said “excuse me,” and instead of acknowledging me properly, she looked away and bluntly replied, “Yes, ma’am?”
After that, I sat down to wait for the rest of my order, which included fruit. My receipt shows I ordered at 8:40am. I patiently waited 35–40 minutes, understanding mornings can be busy, but I noticed there was still no fruit on the cold shelf. When I asked about it, the same lady told me, “We’re out, I’ll refund your order for the fruit.”
My concern is this: why wasn’t I told immediately when I placed my order that the fruit was unavailable? Why is it still an option on the menu if it isn’t being served? It feels like I would have walked away with no explanation if I hadn’t followed up. I am still waiting for my refund
