I really hope someone sees this review soon after I post it. (4/7/26) I just left this location and am extremely upset. I actually have given this location several chances to get it right but I’m done with it. I’d rather drive and give my business to Harlingen. I went in this morning to the dining area since the drive thru line was pretty long. There was absolutely no one there other than me. A young man and a lady were there and not one of them acknowledged me. No hi good morning, be right with you… nothing. Instead the man said “umm I’m on break let me see if I can get someone to help you” then the girl he asked said “I can’t” and walked into the office with such an attitude also. Then he went and asked another girl and she looked at me and said the same thing “no I can’t.” All I wanted was a small coffee. Absolutely ridiculous. I told them to forget it and walked out. Managers, owner, y’all need to get this location in check because I’m not the only one who has bad reviews from here.

I’m not the type to write reviews, but I feel that it is necessary so that management can understand that this isn’t an uncommon occurrence or me being upset at a mistake that happened once and blowing it out of proportion. Every person I know and every experience I’ve had at the San Benito Chick-fil-A has been unacceptable! The food is always cold, the wait is 30+ minutes for two combos, sauces are often forgotten (so a plain sandwich it is since I went through the drive through) , and to make matters worse, the service is delayed and simply unfriendly. The young staff are flirting and not a single “welcome in” or “does anyone need anything?” I understood flaws in the beginning, but it’s been several months, so training and rules should have already been enforced and followed to the T. I hate to say this, but I always have a better experience at the McDonald’s down the street.

The line was wrapped around the building like a medieval pilgrimage, and I, a hungry girl with too much indecisiveness and a loud empty stomach, joined the procession. Suddenly, a staff member appeared like an angel in dark times. “My pleasure!” she said, and that alone inspired me to sit up straighter. Then, my grilled chicken sandwich arrived… if a golden chariot had rolled up and handed me that sandwich, I wouldn’t have questioned it. I would’ve simply accepted my blessing. And that’s exactly what I did. I took one bite and immediately had to pause, not because I forgot to pray, but because I needed a moment to process what had just happened. “This grilled chicken tastes like it actually wants me to be happy” I thought. It was juicy, seasoned, perfectly balanced, like it had been carefully put together by the cow mascot himself. This had intention. This had purpose. This sandwich had a plan for me. Orders were correct. People were kind. No one seemed stressed. No havoc, no confusion. I was no longer the same person who had pulled up into that line after I ate that sandwich. I arrived tired, hungry, and overwhelmed by choice and my loud stomach. I left fed, focused, and enlightened. 10/10 cinematic experience.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Chick-fil-A that I feel needs to be addressed. From the start, the drive-thru process lacked organization and communication. We were only informed at the pickup window that the employee who initially took our order had been logged out, requiring us to repeat the entire order. This should have been communicated earlier. After paying, I noticed the total seemed higher than expected, but I was in conversation with my husband and did not immediately question it. We were then asked to pull forward and wait, only to be given someone else’s order. When I later called to resolve the issue, the situation became even more frustrating. Instead of taking ownership, the owner/operator spoke to me in a dismissive and condescending tone. At one point, I was told, “All I hear is us, us, us. There was no wrong by anyone,” which was extremely unprofessional given the clear errors that occurred. I understand that situations like this can be frustrating for staff, but taking that frustration out on a customer is not acceptable. Additionally, I was asked to return with a receipt, despite already explaining that no receipt, sticker, or documentation was provided with our order. Being asked to fix their mistake without accountability or a willingness to help was unacceptable. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I have ever had at Chick-fil-A. I expected a much higher level of professionalism, communication, and accountability.

I usually go to the Chick-fil-A in Harlingen since that’s my home city, but today I went to the one in San Benito and I had to leave a review. The customer service at the San Benito location is unmatched. Every single employee was genuinely happy—no bad attitudes, no forced smiles, just a really positive and welcoming environment. Damiana was especially amazing. They were hosting a sip-and-paint event and even gave out complimentary hibiscus lemonade for those participating, which was such a nice touch. My daughter wasn’t happy with her painting, and Damiana took the time to sit with her and help her create something she actually loved. That level of kindness and patience really stood out to me. You don’t see that everywhere. Definitely one of the best Chick-fil-A experiences I’ve had.
