Went into heb yesterday down from my house and after getting the items I went in for and getting up to the check out, I was waited on by maryjane. This girl needs retraining in customer service and needs to get off her high horse thinking she can talk to people any way she wants. After she rang me up and I was getting ready to pay for everything, I realized that she didn't charge me for something. Now a lot of people would have kept quiet and just finished paying and walked out the door, but I had more integrity than that and didn't want her to lose her job or get written up because she let someone steal from the store because she wasn't paying attention. When I asked her if she could cancel the order and re- ring all of the items(only 5 total items), so that I could make sure she didn't miss anything, she got a kind of defensive snotty attitude asking me why? All I responded was because I asked you to. I was not being rude to her(this generation needs to learn the difference between someone being rude and someone who just deserves to be given the same respect that they themselves want....which btw respect is earned, not just freely given or demanded), all I was trying to do was prevent her from getting a write up or lose her job over lost/stolen(not that I personally would steal) merchandise, but if this is the type of attitude she or any other employee are going to react with when someone is just trying to be honest with them, then next time I will just keep my mouth shut and she can get a write up or lose her job...that will be on her! I deserve a SINCERE apology from her!
UPDATE....
Though Dave and I did talk about this...I never did get an apology from maryjane. HEB needs to train all of their young people on being respectful, watching their facial expressions, body language, sneers, voice tones, and snide remarks. The only young people in that entire store that have great attitudes and customer service skills work up front are both Chris's, Brian, Jerrick( NOT jerrica), Nesha (NOT Naysha), Juan (Jay Gomez), Vangie(older lady), Sandra(older lady), little Robert(deli), Emma, and Bruno....that's it. The rest of the front end staff do not greet you, don't smile, nothing, or they talk to their co workers about you quietly thinking you can't tell or read their lips. They look and act like they hate being there, that's why I won't deal with anyone except the few that I mentioned by name who are very polite, respectful, and helpful and if none of them are there, I will go through the self check out and if I need cigarettes that day, I will go to circle k for them just to avoid having to deal with the rude employees.
Just curious, too....seems every review from other people get responses from the owner of heb, but mine. Am I not valued as much as other customers to this company owner? Or is he prejudice against certain class of people? Not complaining, just curious....personally I honestly don't care.

Went to heb , was not rude or disrespectful in word, thought, looks nothing. Got to Vangie lane, was just telling her something personal (she's a friend of mine) when naysha walked up and I just politely asked if she could us for a moment and I was given go to hell look by her. She and Nana both still do this and I'm seriously getting tired of heb not correcting the attitudes of its employess....btw, I never did get an apology from maryjane either.
IF I COULD RATE HEB A -100 I WOULD! ONLY NICE PEOPLE THERE( CHRIS...YOUNG AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUNG MAN), JUAN, JERRICK, VANGIE, ROBERT(DELI), XAVIER, CHRIS(HISPANIC), BRIAN, EITHEN, EMMA. THAT'S IT! MANAGEMENT SUCKS, ESPECIALLY ARTHUR, JERRICA, PALOMA AND LILI! SO MY BUSINESS IS GOING BACK TO WALMART AND CIRCLE K!
