That store is selling fruit borderline moldy and completely aware of this . Has zero clue about the product in the store they sell . Has been brought to attention before . Heb has lazy gross negligence management. If you shop there and seem to have eaten their products that may have mold … Keep an eye on your health. It’s not just me seeing this stuff. It’s not just one store either . The rich side of town Hebs probably have it too . They don’t check or investigate. They just hire 18 kids to grab what looks old enough the. Leave the rest.

I came into this H-E-B and grabbed one of the red hand baskets, only to find it completely covered in grime, dirt, and mystery debris in the corners. I checked several others, and they were all filthy (I have attached photos as proof). I decided to bring this health and hygiene issue to the attention of a manager named Will. Instead of apologizing or offering to get the baskets cleaned so customers can safely put their food in them, Will became instantly defensive. He actually told me that cleaning the baskets 'is not in the budget.' I simply suggested that the cashiers or self-checkout attendants could quickly wipe them down during their downtime, as I frequently see them standing around chatting. Instead of taking this constructive customer feedback, Will completely lost his temper, called security, and had me kicked out of the store for absolutely no reason. This is completely unacceptable behavior for a store manager. Having security escort a paying customer out for pointing out unsanitary equipment is an outrageous abuse of power. H-E-B Corporate needs to look into Will’s management practices and the sanitary standards of this location immediately. I will not be shopping here again until this is addressed.
