Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was fresh and tasty, but there were complaints about incorrect orders and food quality declining over time.
Service Speed
Many reviews highlighted slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with long wait times reported consistently.
Cleanliness
The cleanliness of the dining area and restrooms received mixed feedback, with some customers noting cleanliness while others reported dirty conditions.
Customer Service
While some customers praised the friendly and helpful staff, others experienced rude service and disorganization.

I'm the only car in the drive through I order a number 1 with a strawberry Fanta and a strawberry malt. Why did I receive an orange Fanta and my malt was chocolate on the bottom. To the lady at the drive through window instead of worrying about what your coworker is doing for Valentine's pay attention to the order!!

FOOD: .
*We ordered 2 taquito meals.
*Orders were completed correctly.
*Food temperature was good.
SERVICE:
*The service was prompt. In fact, it was quite speedy for being the 5th car back in the drive-thru lane.
ATMISPHERE:
*Outside was well maintained. I.asxune the inside will be as well.
COMPLAINT:
*There is a double drive-thru, which speeds up orders. The ptoblem is, the outside lane must merge into the the inside Iane to reach the pay and pick-up windows. This causes a traffic jam when it gets busy.
If you had the outside lane just pull straight forward, and they pay with.a card, they could have an employee with a portable card reader. If they choose to pay cash, that would creeate a problem.
What can be done? That's the million dollar question.

Well I went through drive-thru and as I pulled up I called them on phone to please toast my buns I forgot to tell them when I ordered. The girl tells me sorry but we ve already prepared it. LIE LIE then when I get home towards end of my burger I find a long hair baked into patty. This will be the second location I will never revisit. If corporate would open there eyes and realize there employees are going to drive this company to the ground.

We were very impressed with our food. The fajita taco was so delicious and the burger was good. We also ordered a milk shake which took until we were half way through our lunch before it came. There were several tables that needed to be cleaned and the bathroom better wiped down.

If your order consists of something that even slightly deviates from the default menu option do not bother ordering here. It will not be made correctly. If you value your time, don't use the drive thru, you will spend your evening sitting there. If you had a long day at work and you think "I need a win, a good burger, something good to eat", don't go here it'll only ruin the rest of your day. This isn't coming from a one time incident but countless times of having a burger made incorrectly. If you value your money in this economy you should just go to the McDonalds on the other side of the parking lot, the Burger King on the other side of the highway, or even the Subway at the Gas station. At least there you can watch them make your sandwhich. Atmosphere inside gets a 4 because it's usually clean and it's somewhere you can sit down and talk.
