Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Whataburger never disappoints. Every time I come through, the food is hot, fresh, and made the way I asked. The burgers are juicy, the fries are perfectly salty, and the portions are generous for the price. I also appreciate how many options they have, especially if you want to customize your order.
The staff has been friendly and patient even when it’s busy, and the service is usually quick considering how popular it is. Whether it’s a late-night craving or a quick lunch stop, Whataburger is always a reliable choice. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

My husband ordered a biscuit and gravy without sausage. He even heard Vienna tell her staff that the order needed chicken gravy. When he brought it home, the gravy clearly had sausage in it, so he called the restaurant to let them know.
He spoke directly with Vienna, who said she remembered the order. When he explained that the gravy had sausage in it, her response was, “There’s no way it could have sausage in it. We don’t even have any made.” He told her he was literally looking at the gravy with sausage in it. She placed him on hold and came back only to say that she couldn’t do anything about it right now, but to circle the meal, write her name on the receipt, and she could replace it at a later date.
There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake, and no accountability, especially disappointing since she is the operating partner. The mistake itself wasn’t a huge deal, but the dismissive response and lack of basic customer service were. A simple apology and ownership of the error would have gone a long way.
