Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Numerous customers reported poor service, including rude staff, long wait times, and incorrect orders.

Every time I come here they never add spicy ketchup or anything sauces I ask for never!! I had a pick up order with two drinks and the lady that walked me my food only took one drink to my car. When I told her I had another drink and tried to show my receipt she said yeah yeah and walked away. I had to get off the car and walk inside for my sweet tea. That’s should have been given to me in the first place.

Haven't had a good burger here in awhile . Last visit , the manager and another man were FIRING one of their employees...on the floor of the restaurant. It was unnerving , and appalling. I was embarrassed for the whole place. And I did say my peace. The audacity. Completely ruined my whole perspective on What a burger. You were my favorite place. Im just disgusted now.
