Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported frequent issues with incorrect orders, including missing items and wrong food.

Customer Service

Overall Experience

I have never been so upset with Whataburger until now . I didn’t know that mine & my daughter’s burger weren’t fully cooked till we looked at the burger . This is unexceptionable. I do not recommend this Whataburger .

I’ve lived in this area for 8 years and have had my fair share of issues with this Whataburger, but this morning completely changed my opinion! I placed a curbside order for breakfast (Saturday morning) and noticed my order said it had been ready for about 15 minutes. I called to check in, and the manager, Alejandro, came out personally — and he deserves HUGE props!
He was honestly one of the nicest store managers I’ve ever met at a Whataburger. He apologized sincerely for the wait and even brought me a brownie just to make up for it. When I noticed my pancake platter was missing the sausage, he was super kind and offered a free shake on top of that!
A little later, he came out again and gave us two free meal vouchers for next time. He told me he’d be upset too if he had to wait 30 minutes and that there was “no excuse,” which was so refreshing to hear, as most managers get defensive or try to argue, but not him. He also threw in extra hashbrowns just to make sure we left happy!
Things happen, I get that..but Alejandro really knows what true customer service looks like! He puts himself in the customer’s shoes and goes above and beyond to make things right. Between the brownie, shake, and meal vouchers, he completely turned the situation around and made it a great experience.
I genuinely hope Whataburger keeps Alejandro as manager. He is hands down the best and most understanding one this location has had in the 8 years I’ve been coming here. Thank you again, Alejandro, for your kindness and for actually caring about your customers. You made my morning, and you gave me faith that this location is turning around! 🙌 Food tastes great and fresh 99% of the time! I have never really had an issue with the quality of the food at this location. Also, My veggies have always been fresh! thanks to chef as well. I think we just need to be more understanding and don’t snap instantly, things happen, this industry isn’t “easy” to work in as most think, what matters is, it was MORE than made up for by the very kind manager.
