Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Multiple customers reported long wait times and poor customer service, particularly during busy hours.

Went in to order a regular meal, nothing special. After almost 30 minutes I went to ask about my order and for some reason it was sitting on the shelf for a call in order for who knows how long. I ordered at the counter and was waiting in the restaurant. Cold food and overall just a bad experience. Not busy but they still seemed to mess things up. The time before this was bad as well but I thought that was just an I off day. Guess not, looks like business as usual for this place. Not ever thinking of coming back.

I dropped by to get a burger when I got off of work. This was pretty late at night. I get home …NO MEAT. No meat on my hamburger. Take some pride in what yall do. Totally ridiculous. Who doesn’t put the meat on a hamburger? How stupid can you possibly be? Anyways! Pass this one up. Whatever you do, don’t go to this location.

Man, look at this breakfast! This ain’t food — this is what happens when a manager named J.P. don’t train NOBODY! This bowl look confused. The eggs don’t know the bacon, the bacon don’t know the gravy, and the biscuit look like it’s tryin’ to escape!
You can tell J.P. ain’t teach a single person how to cook. This gravy look like it got trust issues. The bacon look like it filed for unemployment. The eggs look like they were cooked by somebody who was on their FIRST DAY… and their LAST DAY! Probably transfer out to be trained better.
I’ve seen crime scenes with better organization than this bowl. This is what happens when J.P. runs a restaurant like a group project where he does NONE of the work!
How you serve breakfast that looks TIRED? Breakfast supposed to wake you up — this one put me back to sleep!

If you're ever in this area this Whataburger is a must stop. I love getting the chicken fajita taco and today it was delicious. I called the location to let the manager Nancy know that the cook did a fantastic job. The chicken was nice and juicy tender and not overcooked. Miss Martha knows how to cook some chicken! Eric is usually at the counter taking orders and he is such a positive and friendly person and provides excellent customer service.
Nancy you must be doing something right your staff did a great job today! 😊
