East Meets West, Brisket Birria Ramen, looks great in their pictures but what you’re getting is a $1.98 Tapatio Cup of ramen with a scoop of chopped brisket, some onions and cilantro added to it and paying $12.99 I always love their BBQ products, flavors and service but this was a complete let down, at least put it in a plastic bowl and call it your own and fool me.

Came to the HEB location at Bulverde and Calen in San Antonio with my wife's cousin for a BBQ Lunch. We were pleasantly greeted by Kyanne who took our order and was very professional. I specifically asked for lean brisket with No fat and she read my order back as I asked. Our food order came out looked was great except my lean brisket had a layer of fat on it, which I did Not ask for. I took it back to show Kyanne but she was a had a long line of customers to care for, so I went back to our table and just cut off the Fat that I didn't want. Otherwise, the food was good.

Specifically, your “new” potato salad tastes spoiled! Sour cream DOES NOT go in potato salad! It is not good AT ALL! Your brisket beans always tastes like they are on the verge of going bad! It’s obvious that that fresh beans are being mixed with an older batch! The consistence of the beans is like mush! Everything else is spot on delicious!

    1. Kiosk are not intuitive so doesn’t speed up the ordering process. 2 kiosk were held up by questions for the cashier. 2. Receipt is confusing. I ordered 2 meat plate but.receipt says: 2 meat plate 6.50 brisket $7 Sausage $5 Shouldn’t the $6.50 2 meat plate be labeled as 2 “sides”? If that is what you mean. Sounds like 2 meats implies $12 for brisket and sausage, instead I’m charged $18.50 total. Not clear why on receipt unless you deduce that 2 meat plate = sides. 3. My brisket was not hot, not warm, but cold! Unacceptable for a Friday evening dinner at 6:45pm 4. Beans tasted burnt and ransid 5. Too expensive . Because total with tax cost me over $20 for one person, I couldn’t afford a drink. Thank Goodness I didn’t bring my wife and our 3 children. Maybe you should include a drink with your 6.50 2 meat plate fee. 6. No management by walking around. No greeting . Atmosphere is very cold and impersonal.

While I cannot attest to the service or atmosphere, I can say with certainty this is definitely NOT true Texas BBQ. No barq on the brisket, chicken was tough, sides were not even worth honorable mention. Y'all please do yourselves a reboot, or rename. Definitely not the best Texas has to offer.
