- KKKNov 12, 20254.0I have been a couple of times and had pretty lousy counter service. You can see the dead behind the eyes in these kids when you step to the counter. The last time I asked for extra American cheese twice while ordering and when she got the cheese part she asked me if I wanted cheese. 🤷🏻♂️ But the first two times I was here I saw a young woman in the back of the place working at twice the energy of everyione else. She was stocking and cleaning and generally busting her tail with a purpose. Literally light years from what anyone else was doing. Today she was the only one there working the front. And man was she movin'! I watched her serve three customers with crazy efficiency. Again the word of the day is purpose! I complimented her and told her I saw her before and she should know she was seen. Yeah. Of course it turns out she is the manager. All you need to know is three simple syllables. "Vah. Neh. Sah." Vanessa. 💖 I can guarantee you, this woman is a rock star. She must have the very worst time with that apathetic crew. Her attitude and demeanor was off the charts and she treated each customer the same and with good energy. Even the poor soul in front of me who couldn't get it together. Sandwich artistry was spot on. FAST and accurate. Almost like she cared about it. Asking if I want the bacon toasted on my club when I said I did not want the sandwich toasted? Pro move! None of those kids would have cared to even consider the customer. Burned the bacon...oops...had it fixed in a second and somehow made me feel like it was not an issue at all. But it is the demeanor. I didn't feel like I was annoying her by being a customer. Man that simple thing goes a long way. Somehow that was what I needed today. You never know how you make a difference for someone. I would go there every day if I knew she would wait on me. Might seem miniscule to most people, but I find that work ethic to be incredible, especially in the world today. Thank you Vanessa. You added value to my day.
