Terrible service and bad food.
Came here for my daughter's birthday because she saw it online and thought it looked fun. We came out and for the hour and a half we were there we saw our waiter 3 times. That made the gorillas dancing a little less entertaining when it started acting as more of a reminder that it had been quite some time since we had seen our server.
When he did show up he got our order wrong, and left us with no drinks for the majority of our visit. We ended with an overcooked steak for the birthday girl and every item tasted like it was dipped in coconut oil before being served to us. My wife and I ordered a taco salad to share that came with ice cold grilled chicken which seems like an oxymoron but is apparently how they do it so much so that the waiter refused to remove it from bill despite us not eating it.
For the price you have loads of options downtown and you should consider all of them before coming here.

Atmosphere and food were great. We did make a reservation online and have to wait a few minutes after arriving, but no big deal. Our waiter on the other hand, eh. He recommended we get a banana for our picky toddler, she would have loved it! He said he could go down stairs and get one from the bar. We thought this was awesome! He came back to our table and said they didn’t have any bananas. So my husband went downstairs and the bar was full of bananas. The manager happened to be behind the bar who said, they had bananas since the following day. He brought my husbands dish out before any of the other plates were ready. Stating they’d be out right behind his. Everyone waited about 10 minutes before the rest of the food arrived. Food and atmosphere, great. Service, sucked.

Rainforest Café is exactly what it’s always been: a sensory overload jungle theme park that also happens to serve food. The atmosphere is a guaranteed win for kids. Animatronic animals, thunderstorms every few minutes, the whole “dining in the wild” gimmick. If you’re under twelve, it’s magical. If you’re a parent… you cope.
Service was the standout here. Cynthia was awesome—friendly, attentive, fast. She deserves a raise and a quieter workplace. The food itself sits solidly in the “okay/good” zone. You’re not walking out telling friends you just discovered the next big culinary icon, but you’re also not regretting your life choices.
The location helps a lot—right off the Riverwalk, so convenient for tourists and families mid-adventure.
Bottom line: Go for the experience. Let the kids roar at the giant gorillas. Enjoy the novelty. Just keep expectations reasonable and life is good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service from Daniel at Rainforest Café!
We had such a fantastic experience dining at the Rainforest Café today, and it was all thanks to our server, Daniel. He was absolutely incredible and truly made our visit memorable!
Daniel was so attentive and genuinely friendly throughout our meal. He made sure our drinks were always full, checked in on us at the perfect times, and was quick and knowledgeable about the menu recommendations. He even played along with the jungle theme, which made the atmosphere extra fun for the whole family.
He truly went above and beyond to make our visit smooth and enjoyable. Daniel deserves all five stars—he's a real asset to this location, and we hope he gets recognition for his hard work!

Honestly this is a really cool and pretty neat looking restaurant. I thought it was overall a little bit to loud with all the weird animal sounds and recordings and the humidity was a little to high for my comfort. We were seated very quickly but the one star is for absolutely horrible service. Five us sat for around 30 minutes without even having someone ask us for drinks. When one staff member realized they forget about us or didnt realize no one was serving us they apologized and said they would be right with us. 5-10 minutes later no one arrived. With the price of a plate 20$ish I would expect at least some service. We got up and walked out and not a single member of staff said a word to us. I would recommend going to McDonald's first. At least you get the service you pay for which is still better than this restaurant. We also went during off hours and so the excuse isnt it was just busy because it was not busy at all.
