  Mattenga’s Pizza is one of those places that reminds you why pizza doesn’t need to be reinvented by a guy named Luca who just discovered truffle oil. The crust is legit, the sauce actually tastes like tomatoes instead of regret, and the cheese ratio is flawless. Every bite feels intentional, like someone in the kitchen still cares. Wild concept. And then there’s Sabrina. Every great local place has that person. The one who keeps the energy right, the customers happy, and the whole operation breathing when things get busy. Sabrina is that person. Warm, attentive, genuinely invested. You don’t feel like a transaction. You feel remembered. That’s rare now and honestly priceless. Mattenga’s isn’t just good pizza. It’s community energy, consistency, and comfort wrapped in a slice. Places like this stay alive because of people like Sabrina and pizza this good deserves to be protected at all costs 🍕🔥 If you’re debating whether to go, stop overthinking it. Eat the pizza. Thank Sabrina. Repeat.

  The 20 inch slices were a bit flimsy in the middle. NM visitor appreciates the Hatch®️ green chiles and your other fresh items are a terrific compliment to these great tasting chiles. I will return for the 10 inches.

  Review update, Mattengas contacted me on my previous review of 3 stars. I gave them 3 stars due to them delivering an incomplete order. Since then, they have contacted me to try and make things right. They refunded the cost of the honey hot dipping sauce I was charged for and issued me a coupon for the trouble. Unfortunately I am driving back to Arizona today and will not be able to use it. The pizza and breadsticks were delicious, my only note to them is to verify the orders before sending them out to ensure the order is complete. Thank you Mattenga's for reaching out. I may try you again if I am ever in the area again.

  This is the first time I've ordered from y'all. I ordered ahead for carryout/pickup because I needed to go to HEB first. I completed my shopping, then went into your establishment roughly forty minutes before my order was due. I asked the guy working if he could move me up, explaining the shopping thing. He was on point, and got my order prepped, cooked, and boxed in fifteen minutes like a champ. It tasted great, and I loved the Star Wars box lid. Will order again.
