"Huge shoutout to Sandra for making our night so memorable! It’s rare to find a bartender who is as knowledgeable about the menu as they are fun to talk to. They have a fantastic energy that really sets the vibe for the whole bar. If you’re looking for great conversation and even better cocktails, this is the place to be. one thing to add is to call Lake Conroe Margaritaville to get their recipe for the spicy Margarita.

I came in on December 27 around 6:18 PM and went to the front desk. I greeted the employee, but she completely ignored me and did not acknowledge me at all. I found this rude and felt it reflected poor customer service. Being greeted is a basic expectation when interacting with customers. After ignoring me, she immediately began asking me questions, which made the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. Also the music was extremely loud i couldn’t even hear my partner.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. We have visited Margaritaville restaurants before, when we were stationed in Florida. The one is Orlando is absolutely amazing. The San Antonio River walk is the polar opposite of that location. Granted we visited on Christmas Day, which we took into account. As soon as we walked up we waited behind a couple, making us second in line. We waited behind them almost ten minutes which isn’t a problem until a party walked up straight to the desk and the hostess was trying to seat them while ignoring the fact that we had been standing there. When my husband said excuse me but we have been waiting, they did seat us but we said there 20 minutes without anyone coming to the table. We watched as everyone around us was served. Then finally a waitress asked the hostess whose table we were and then finally someone came over. She apologized for the wait but we of course knew that it was because no one knew whose table it was. She took our order without writing it down. And quickly came back with water where the melted ice and condensation told us it was sitting there for a while. She said it was just to have water until our order arrived which was weird because I ordered sprite. It never came. The manager saw how long we had been sitting but he never came over. Yet we still waited. His order came out and it was wrong. Then she asked me for the third time what I ordered by this time we are almost at the 40 minute mark and everyone around us has been served. And I still had no food. My husband would not start eating while I had nothing in front of me. At this point we decided to let the staff know the service was unacceptable and we would dine elsewhere. Even for a tourist location this was horrible. It was like they felt “oh they are just tourists they will accept whatever service we give and they are not repeat business so who cares.” Surprise. We actually live here and when our family military and traditional visit we always bring them to the riverwalk. But we will NEVER bring them here.

The service at this location is terrible. We were one of 3 tables in the restaurant area that had people present, yet throughout the entire visit our waitress only came to our table 3 times. On the last visit to our table, I let her know that our glasses were all completely empty and we'd been waiting for refills for over 20 minutes. Her response was "ok, are you ready for your check?" The manager was just as unconcerned and said "ok, I can run your checks." Then he mixed up our checks. When the waitress found out about the mixup she told us thats what happens when you involve someone else in the service process.

This was the biggest disappointment ever. We were excited to celebrate my friends birthday and went here excited for great margaritas. When we first got there the host looked like she hated her job and was not pleasant at all. When we got sat 20min later ( the place wasn’t even busy) our server was not welcoming and barely checked up on us.We ordered margs which were terrible, we ordered the appetizer and coconut shrimp which was also terrible and then I asked if they did anything for birthdays and I got a harsh no as a response. Very much of a let down for my friends birthday and I hope she doesn’t get food poisoning from the shrimp as it tasted really strange.
