  Extremely lackluster service here. Took well over half an hour to receive appetizer and over an hour for the entrees when the entire dining area was vacant. However, the view at night is great on the upper patio

  The food was overall very good, with no issues. However, the service was disappointing. Our server displayed a questionable attitude and came across as condescending. Our total bill was $112. We paid $100 in cash and $12 by debit card, which was clearly explained to the server beforehand. Approximately 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant, we noticed that the full $112 had been charged to our debit card, and the $100 cash was not applied to the bill so it was kept by the sever. I attempted to call the restaurant and was placed on hold for seven minutes before the call was disconnected. I called two additional times with no answer. It was only after calling from a different phone that someone answered and I was able to speak with a manager. This situation could have been avoided with honest and attentive service.

  i had such an amazing experience with Mari the bartender tonight at Joe’s Crab Shack! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely top-tier. Our server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, which I truly appreciate—especially being in the service industry myself. She knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and answered every question with confidence and enthusiasm. You can tell when someone genuinely understands their job, and she absolutely did. Everything felt seamless and well-paced. Our drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, the food came out hot and fresh, and she checked in at the perfect times—not too much, not too little. Her timing, communication, and overall professionalism made the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. She maintained such a positive attitude the entire time and handled everything effortlessly. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and cares about her guests. In an industry where great service can really make or break your experience, she truly went above and beyond. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope to have her as our bartender again.   We had such a great experience at Joe’s Crab Shack thanks to Mary! She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. She stayed on top of everything and made sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, her drinks were spot on—perfectly mixed and delicious. Mary our waitress and the host Mary truly made our visit even better. We’ll definitely be back!

  For being right on the Riverwalk in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, this place runs very smoothly! We had reservations so we got seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and observant to when our drinks needed filled. The food takes a little bit of time to come out, but you can enjoy an appetizer while waiting and survive. The portions were huge, none of us could finish our plate.
