Our family group of 9 stopped in for lunch. My parents have eaten here before and have always been pleased. The food, atmosphere, and service were excellent. The guacamole was made fresh at the table and was delicious! My husband and I shared the bone in stuff pork chop….it was AMAZING! The Southwest paella was equally delicious! Our kiddos had the Travis burger, kids quesadilla, and the fish tacos. They all raved about their meals.

Updating a previous review. This has been one of our favorite places for years. Quality has REALLY dropped though. Our most recent meal was horrible. Fajitas not cooked as ordered. We brought up the issue. (We heard a lot about who's fault it wasn't instead of the issue just being fixed. We really didn't care to hear employees blaming their coworkers when we weren't mad. We just wanted what we ordered at the quality we were used to. Not the best customer service.) Had to wait for the issue to be fixed. Even corrected, they were tough and the flavor was not as it usually was. Our rice and beans were given to us cold. Mushy rice. Tasteless. It was an awful experience. I no longer recommend this place.

Server was friendly and efficient. He explained some menu choices which helped us decide on tapas to share. Three were too many for our lunch though. The pound of mussels were exceptional, the tomatoes and fresh jalapeños added a nice flavor impact. The three lobster tacos were very flavorful with a delicious lobster cream sauce. The Picadillo Purses (3) were our least favorite, the wonton wrappers were over fried and the beef interior was just okay. We weren’t a fan of the chips and salsa, the warm one was too tomatoey and the cold one was very garlicky. Overall a good menu and warm atmosphere.

A couple of weeks ago while on the Riverwalk my friend and I found a seat quickly at the bar here while many people stood waiting to get on a 45-60 minute wait list for riverside tables and larger four and six tops. The bar was just fine and there was college football on TV. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The food came out before the drinks, which took quite a while, as the bar was backed up. Once served though the drinks were good. The food was pretty good too. This restaurant had a high energy vibe being along the river. And the holiday lights lit up the Riverwalk drawing a big crowd. It was an enjoyable stop for dinner.

We ate there with a group of 10 family members. When we made the reservation, the first thing they said was that it would have to be on a single check, and there would automatically be a 20% gratuity. We brought a coupon that we got from our hotel that said we would get one free appetizer with purchase of an entre. It specifically stated that it was limited to 1 appetizer for each 4 entres. When we presented this to the server and order 2 appetizers, the waitress came back and said we could only get 1 free appetizer on that coupon. I pointed out that it said 1 appetizer for each 4 entres and there were 10 of us. She said she would send the manager over to explain it. The manager came over and said he needed to clear up our “misunderstanding” of the coupon. He was adamant that we could only get one free appetizer. When I asked why it even mentioned the “per 4 entres”, he just walked away. One of our appetizers was Chile con Queso and it came with 2 measly bowls of chips that were rapidly gone before the queso was finished. When we asked for more chips, we were told that it would cost $2/bowl for additional chips. How absurd for a Mexican restaurant to charge for chips like that. As a final insult, we were told that they would comp the more expensive appetizer, but on the final bill they only refunded the cheap chili con queso, for which we had to pay extra for enough chips. Other than that the food was decent, but the very unpleasant management interaction, unwillingness to honor their coupon properly, and attempt to nickel and dime you ruined the experience.
