From the start, Manager JUSTIN OLSON showed little interest in assisting me and did not follow the procedures I was instructed to carry out. When I explained the proper process, he seemed dismissive and refused to do what was required — which led to Central Station instructing him to release the badge. Central Station later confirmed that I did not have the badge, as everything had to be done from Justin’s phone, even though I’ve completed surveys at many other H-E-B locations using my own phone and been given the badge with no issue. It comes unprogrammed until I call central station and give them my info. Throughout the interaction, Justin displayed an unprofessional attitude and became upset when he realized I was following correct protocol. He even pointed his finger in my face and told me I was “hot-headed” and needed to “change my attitude or he’d kick me out of his store.” That was completely uncalled for. I’ve never been talked down to like that by a manager while doing my job. I decided to remove myself from the situation and leave. Justin needs communication and vendor-relations training — his behavior does not reflect H-E-B’s usual professionalism or respect for vendors.
