Everyone is great except the mean man in the deli dept. He always seems mad!! The older Caucasian guy, should be more personable to Cxs, just my opinion. All other deli workers are great!!

I wasn't sure how to rate this review since my issue was with an employee (Damiam) and not with the store as a whole. I was at the Nacogdoches store to pick up water. In the past I enter on the self serve side, and ask an HEB employee who is usually standing by the door if someone can assist me with the water since it is too heavy for me to pick up. They called an employee who met me by the water aisle and as he approached I told him he would need a basket. He clearly was annoyed that I didn't have a basket when he stated, "Well, I thought you would at least have a basket." He loaded up the water and was prepared to leave so I asked him if he could help me carry the water out to my car. He said no, and asked me why I couldn't carry it out to my car myself. I told him that I come to this particular store to get water often and no one has ever told me that they couldn't assist me before. He started asking me personal medical questions about why I couldn't take the water to my car. He asked me if I was hurt, do I have a medical problem, do I have an injury and I told him his questions were not appropriate and it was none of his business. He seemed slightly offended and said that he just wanted to know if there is something wrong with me. I finally said if you don't want to help me just find me someone else, which is exactly what he did. He passed me back to the employee (Andrew) who was overseeing the self service area at the time so they switched places so Damian wouldn't have to take the water to my car. In the time Damian spent arguing with me, he could have had the task already done and moved on. On the flip side, Andrew is very professional and has assisted me in the past. (Customer service training for Damian please!) His boss stated he is in some kind of management program is not allowed to carry items out to the cars. What nonsense. I guess you're out of luck if he is the only one available. The manager that was on duty that night didn't even know who he was. Wow, the store is not that big!
