- KMKathleen Hurley MiloFeb 10, 20262.0This post is being made in attempt to improve HEB’s reputation and quality of service in the Texas area We moved to Texas seven years ago and had excellent service with respect to delivering groceries and helping me get them inside the house which was extremely helpful to a person with chronic pain in their knees and back. Now, when I order an HEB delivery, 75% of the time, I get people who do not speak English at all. When they arrive at the house finding a barking dog, they back up so far that I can't hear them. I have asked that they text me upon their arrival and I will take an image of the front and back of my driver's license. This is made difficult if they 1) don't text me 2) if they are so far from the door and don't speak English, the delivery is at risk. Since HEB passed off there service to Favor, the service has deteriorated. Most of the time, they don't get my special instructions on the HEB order. When I spoke to the Manager, and told her about my problem, she basically said there is nothing they could do and it was up to the driver to decide if they wanted to help me. HEB should have some control over their vendors like FAVOR. Many people with disabilities have no other recourse but to get their groceries delivered. HEB could easily ask FAVOR to pre-screen drivers who are willing to help people with disabilities. I am extremely disappointed that HEB is not willing to help people with problems walking and carrying groceries. We have been here for 7 years, and to me, it is very painful to see the service deterioration that has taken place during this time. It seems to me if you could do that seven years ago your service is deteriorating if you can’t help with the same person Please take this message the spirit in the spirit of which it was intended and please do something about helping people that need it. Favor should be taking directions from HEB and not the other way around.
