Can you please replace the Sushi chef with someone more experienced and friendly? This is truly the worst sushi station out of all HEB stores around. This guy only makes spicy rolls. 99% of the times I want to get sushi here all I see is sushi soaking in spicy mayo. I can hardly ever find a regular california roll or a philadelphia roll. Everything he makes is covered with spicy mayo and crumbles. I have NEVER seen sashimi for sale. Whenever I would ask for some to be made, I get the attitude from the chef that his salmon or tuna are too cold and he cannot make it. One time I have actually waited for "salmon to get warm" - what did he make? He piled a bunch of very thinly cut salmon (which would be used for nigiri, not the sashimi) and gave me an attitude as if I was asking for something impossible. Can you send him off to any other HEB location to learn how to make sashimi? Why is he hardly at his station? 80% of the time I come up to this station, all of its staff is missing. Is he running another business somewhere nearby? For an upscale HEB location this is truly the worst sushi chef. I think this store deserves a better sushi station. I think we, as customers deserve a better and friendlier sushi chef. I truly believe he hates his job.

I love shopping at HEB, but yesterday(12/31/25), I wanted to get lemon peppered chicken quarters cause they are delicious, I couldn’t see them because there was a cover, so it was only when I got home that I realized there’s hella seasoning. I thought it can’t be that bad and it’s probably flavorful. Wrong, damn near classifying as food poisoning with that amount of seasoning. Pealed off the skin(loaded with seasoning) and chicken still tasted like lemon pepper. Usually the chicken taste like chicken and the skin seasoned adds flavor but there was so much seasoning, I thought they marinated it in lemon pepper overnight before cooking it and seasoning. Anywho HEB is great. Would recommend

This is my neighborhood HEB store and that’s exactly how it feels. Friendly and Familiar staff, smaller than the stores you see off the highway so it’s not always packed and everything is so fresh!

Today I experienced truly exceptional service from the pharmacy team at the Wilderness Oak location. There was a mix-up with my prescription delivery—just an unfortunate communication breakdown—and because of my schedule, I wasn’t able to come in person. Even though I live close by, today just wasn’t a day I could make it in. To my surprise and deep appreciation, a pharmacy staff member personally dropped off my prescription on her way home. This small act of kindness meant more than they know. Their willingness to go above and beyond not only resolved the issue immediately, but genuinely restored a bit of my faith in humanity. I am currently navigating a very difficult divorce, and experiencing simple, sincere kindness was a welcomed and meaningful change. I am incredibly grateful for their commitment to excellence, compassion, and professionalism. They have earned a customer for life. The staff members deserve to be promoted immediately.
