Question all HEB fruits!!!! Something is off. I bought SAMS mandarin and compared it. The way HEBs shrinks down in size and dries up, like it was pumped with something. Their Gala apples have a white coating on them not visible to the eye. You have to use a knife and scrape the top layer to see it. Is this normal?! May God help us- but definitely not buying their fruits anymore.

I can confidently say that H‑E‑B has some of the best produce and bakery treats I’ve ever experienced at a grocery store. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh, vibrant, and high quality — you can instantly see and taste the difference. Everything looks carefully stocked and handled with pride, which makes shopping there feel like you’re choosing from a premium market rather than a typical store. But the real highlight is the bakery. I finally tried the famous TikTok-viral glazed doughnut croissant, and the hype is absolutely real. It’s soft, flaky, perfectly sweet, and melts in your mouth with every bite. The glaze is just the right balance — not too sugary, not too light — and the texture is incredible. Honestly, it might be one of the best bakery desserts I’ve ever had anywhere, not just in a grocery store. If you see it available, grab it immediately because it’s worth it. I also picked up mini muffins, brownies, and other pastries, and every single item tasted fresh and delicious. You can tell their bakery team really cares about quality and flavor. Between the amazing produce section and the outstanding desserts, this store easily earns five stars. I highly recommend everyone stop by, especially to try that viral doughnut croissant — you will love it just like I did.

The reason I’m giving a three star about this H-E-B as I go to a lot of H-E-B‘s in order their turkey cranberry salad, which I love to eat, but this one by far put the most onions I have ever tasted and can smell, which makes it very hard to eat this turkey salad. I was very upset that it was like that I called and talked to a manager, but I didn’t get a name. I asked him. Hey this turkey salad has a lot of onion flavor in it. Most of the other ones have cranberry flavor because a cranberry turkey salad. He taught me what it was made somewhere else but he here’s the funny part about that if it’s made somewhere else then why wouldn’t some of the other H-E-B‘s have turkey salad that taste like onion that’s strong like their location I believe that it is made on site and whoever is making it loves the taste of onion, but the customer is the one that’s eating it not the person that sits behind and it makes the turkey salad in house so to that shift or cook or what you wanna call them please stop putting so much onion in the turkey salad thank you very much

Not all HEB stores offer the same items. They "push" their HEB branded products by not stocking all national brands. Bakery products (fresh bread, donuts, bagels, etc.) are imo "average" Stores are clean, employees normally helpful, and app accurate. Not sure if it a Texas thing, but fruits and vegetables have a short shelf life after you purchase, though they normally have good produce if you plan on using within a couple days. A very good store, but doesn't live up to the Texas hype.

Usually have a great experience at this H-E-B but tonight I felt like the ball was dropped. I had a scheduled curbside order at 9-9:30pm for my partner to pickup while I was at work, when he got there he called and told me no one was there. After calling the store they said they close at 9pm for curbside so now im just confused on why they would have a pickup time after they close and irritated that I dont have groceries for the night. Normally I at least get a courtesy call but that was not the case this time.
