Love this HEB. Always a perfect experience as mostly professionals come here during the day. Staff is exceptional and store is always in great condition and stock. They also have the HEBgo kiosks for mobile payments!

I would like more information on a recent construction/contractor project that has started in this store. Thank you in advance for your time. First I will describe the issue, and then ask my question. Every time I’ve gone into the store this week, entire sections of the store have been blocked off by yellow tape, and there’s been a group of men operating tile removers, and I can’t access major areas of the store that I need to access. I am not sure why this is happening during open store hours. I was unable to purchase water tonight, or protein. They were in the produce section a couple nights before and I was unable to buy sweet potatoes. Just some examples. There’s no signs posted, or any information about why this is going on, why it’s happening during store hours, how long it’s going on etc. I don’t think the tile needs to be removed, the store is just fine how it is. I asked an employee and they said this project would be going on for two months. I think they should start when the store closes and finish up in the morning because less people go to H-E-B at 6 AM compared to 9 or 10 pm. What I’d please like to know is when the project team arrives each night, so I can try to come before they get there. Do they arrive each night at 9, 9:30, 10 pm? How long will the project be? I an also concern about dust, particulate matter, fumes, chemicals, etc, while customers are in the store, in terms of air quality, and the quality and effect on the surrounding grocery store items in the vicinity of the work. There is a smell every time I come in the store during this construction from the fumes of the tile being smashed and chopped by a ride on tile scraper, and the dust and particles that are shot into the air from crushed tile and grout and concrete, adhesive residues, compounds, and solvents within the tile, and any other organic compounds sent into the air, being breathed in by customers, and settling all over the nearby products, whether its produce, or just any product. There should be plastic containment barriers, air machines or hepa filtration, dust suppression, and work only occurring during closed store hours. If products were properly covered, I just didn’t notice it, but I don’t remember seeing it. It’s possible they were. I come to the store at 9 or 10 at night because I work during the day and because I want to avoid large crowds. If this is going to be a long term project, there’s no reason for them to be there during store hours. If they are going to be there during store hours, I would like to be made aware of what those hours are going to be, whether you can respond to me here in this review, or post signs on the door at the store, or both. I feel like customers should be aware that when they arrive to buy something that entire sections of the store are sectioned off and they can’t purchase what they came to purchase. This is a big deal, a bigger deal than HEB is acting like it is, so I appreciate your attention to the matter and your time in researching the information and providing an answer for me. Thank you. Main thing I want to know is what time the contractors arrive each night, and if they take any days off.

This is truly one of the worst H-EB’s to purchase produce from. Everything else is wonderful, but save yourself money and several trips and just shop at any other H-E-B for your produce. I guess this one tends to get the food that is about to spoil.

Got the shrimp someone m + the Korean BBQ pot stickers. Someone had no flavor even though it had plenty of veggies and majority of my shrimp still had their poop sacks in. The potstickers just tasted too mushy and barely had flavor either. I usually love the sushi section here but it wasnt it today
