Neatly and abundantly stocked. Prices are fair in today’s economy with a lot of savings and coupons for various products. Checkout lines went fast and smooth. Plenty of parking with visible security officers.

The one star is for lack of customer service that experienced from the deli manager, Saidira on September 24, 2025 and October 10, 2025.
Let me start by saying; about a year ago, I spoke with the previous store manager, Gerald, about the lack of hygiene and change of gloves; when slicing cheeses and meats that was happening with some of the employees in the deli. He said that he would address it at the next meeting.
Fast forward to September 24. I am at the deli. I told Saidira what I needed. As she is gathering the items, she touches her glasses with the gloves that she already has on. I asked her to replace them. She asked why. I did not respond. She asked how many times does she need to change her gloves 🙄. I asked Saidira to change them, again, after she switches from cutting cheese to meat or vice versa. She replied that she does not have to change gloves when handling cheeses and meats. I called the store and spoke with the new store manager, Jeff. He was nonchalant and stated the gloves do not have to be changed when switching from cheese to meat and vice versa. But he would talk to Saidira.
Around 12:30pm on Friday, October 10; I called this location and spoke with a male employee to inquire about the next batch of rotisserie chicken that would be available. He told me 1:45pm. I had already travelled to three other HEBs in search of 6 rotisserie chickens for a function.
I get to this location at 1:45pm and nothing. I called them on phone; while I was in the store. I spoke with Saidira. She said that next batch would be out at 2:30pm. I proceeded to inform her of what had already transpired. She gets an attitude and says, “I am not going to pulled the chicken out of the oven early just for you.”
First of all, I did not ask you to take out the chicken early. You need to watch how you speak to and treat people.
Secondly, if, you do not like your job, then quit. I am at HEB almost, everyday. I have the receipts. Someone needs to remind Saidira and Shannon, the deli lead, that if it were not for the consumer; they would not be collecting a paycheck, every Tuesday.
Third, I have been a nurse for 25 years. Cold and flu season is here. Not to mention, that Covid is still prominent. You guys need to be on sanitization more than ever.
Fourth, anyone who has a food handler’s license knows that you are supposed to change gloves when handling meats and cheeses. What happens when you cut meat for a person who has a cheese allergy and you did not change your gloves? Does this mean that we can sue Saidira or HEB for negligence?
