I had a very uncomfortable experience at this H-E-B gas station. The employee, whose badge said Janice, made me feel embarrassed for paying with $2 in change with the remainder of the total on my debit card. She counted the change several times, taking a few minutes, and even pulled out her phone to use a calculator for what should’ve been a simple amount. What made the situation worse was when she held her phone toward me. I asked if she was recording, and she just chuckled and said no, which didn’t make me feel any better. I was already having a rough day, and the interaction left me feeling judged rather than helped. I hope the store can address this so other customers don’t end up feeling the same way. Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy, no matter how they choose to pay.

I visited H‑E‑B location Valley-Hi. Due to health condition, I need to increase red meat consumption but I have this deal with my throat where food gets easily stuck. Any how… I checked the meat market n I was clueless. An associate by the name of Armani, answered all my silly questions, made recommendations n explained “ the why” n even different ways to cook it n keep it tender. He also “ re sliced “ the meat option I ended up choosing. I am confident I will survive and appreciate the time to recommend, Thank you! P.s - It has nothing to do with the moldie muffins but I did have to show appreciation for the good as well. This location (Valley-Hi) seems to have lower quality items. Plus selection of organic veggies is low. Recently I had been getting ready for surgery, wanted to have handy snacks for after my procedure. . Ordered some curbside n also ended up going in store on 10/13. I purchased Bimbo pastries “ Mantecada” muffins . Package reads best to eat by date of mid-November. Muffins had green mold n fuzz.

I love this H-E-B location, they always have the best employees. I needed help looking for a few items since i’m new to the area & this one gentleman who was working janitorial he had the cart with him helped me look for them. I believe his name was Christian, he looked up the items for me and directed me to the aisles that they were located. Very sweet and helpful, didn’t hesitate to stop and help me. I very much appreciate gestures like that especially at H-E-B!
