I’m not writing this review because I don’t love HEB, I’m writing in hopes they will do better as the best grocery store in Texas. I had 2 fraudulent charges on my card at HEB. One for $2800 and one for $120. Come to find out HEB does not have a policy requiring a photo ID for transactions at the business center. I do not know how scammers acquire a pin but schemers have figured it out. HEB stated that it’s not unusual for them to have $2-5k in money withdraws from their business center and there is no requirement for an ID check. To me this makes a perfect place for theft to take place. HEB as a native Texan and a 44 year HEB loyal shopper I ask you to please change this policy and protect us hard working Texans from being victims of these crimes.
Thank you…
UPDATE: I called customer relations as advised by the review response and they were totally unsympathetic to the theft happening in their stores. The man I spoke to seemed annoyed by my questions. Nothing was resolved, not even an apology that this is happening under their roof. I thought HEB had higher standards. I filed a police report and they can deal with it. At this point I’m grateful a trader Jo’s is being built close by. I won’t give my money to people that don’t care when my money is being stolen. It’s just extremely disappointing.
