Service was good except for bringing the wrong steak that was ordered. Atmosphere was amazing the view is awesome. The food was disappointing, my food was luke warm not sure if they let it sit too long in back because we did wait a long time to get our food. For the price I would expect to get hot food.

The prime rib was so good I started crying. The sea bass and lobster were so buttery and soft and creamy. I wish I remembered to take more pictures. The lava cake was pretty standard but the ice cream felt tasted like a true vanilla. However, the nighttime downtown lights, slow rotation, candle light atmosphere make it a 5/5 experience. Felt a bit interrupted with the constant high-energy check-ins.

Husband and I came here last Friday 2/27/26 for my birthday, and all I can say is we are not coming back! Totally ruined my birthday. Had a reservation, got there at 6pm, we didn’t have our table until 7:15pm (what do a reservation if you have to wait more than an hr). Place is soooo hot, I was literally sweating, and you can hear other people complain of the a/c as well. Waited for more than an hour, only to be seated in the little cubby/booth on the side. To think me and my husband were tall people, we are about 5’11 and to be seated in that little corner was soooo uncomfortable. Service is so slow, even asking for water takes time. Not to mention the expensive food. I got a King Salmon for almost $40 if i remembered correctly and it was a 3/10. The pasta paired with the salmon was so bland. Everybody has their own experience and this was ours. With a fancy restaurant like this, they could have offered a complimentary bread like Texas Roadhouse or any other restaurants you see that offers a complimentary bread or crackers. I do recommend going to the deck for the view, but if you wanna enjoy a good meal, then I suggest you go somewhere else.
Before this restaurant responds that my name isn’t on the reservation list, it was my husband’s.

Gesh…where to start, after being seated, I literally waited 20 minutes to be greeted or given water. When our waiter did show up I ordered my food and a glass of wine, 40 minutes later I still didn’t have a glass of wine. At this point I told the manager we need to turn this evening around. I got my food 10 minutes later. My husbands steak was full of gristle, I got lamb chops; they were actually great. I still don’t have my wine. The server came around and I let him know we were missing our side and I still had not gotten my wine. I finally received my wine(literally1 hour after ordering it) & side of lobster risotto… It was not good. I had one bite and knew I would not be eating that. Our server only had three tables and frankly he seemed overwhelmed the whole time. I’m not here to crap on him or the restaurant in particular. I’m just telling you my experience and if you’re gonna be spending that much money unless you just wanna see the view, go to Pappadeaux‘s you’ll have a better experience.

Our server was Cameron Thursday evening and he did a fantastic job. We tried lobster and swordfish for the first time and it was incredible! We actually didn't know there was a restaurant in the tower and were just going to the observation deck to see the view. They managed to get us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. What an incredible experience. I highly recommend planning to go there if you're in San Antonio (make a reservation to be sure). Thank you to Cameron and the entire staff at Chart House for making this such a wonderful experience ♥️
We expect to be in San Antonio again in the future and will definitely be stopping by again soon!
