Made a reservation for 9pm Thursday. Got at text at 8 that the table was ready so we walked over. Got there about 20 min early but was greeted nicely by the host upstairs, she asked if we wanted to sit outside so we said yes. after she walked us through the restaurant we saw trays of food just sitting in the hallway area but the restaurant didn’t seem that busy, first red flag.
Another host then sat us outside and gave us the specials. We waited for the extra 20mins that we came early, no one came to greet us. In that 20 mins though we saw a table send the two steaks back and wait for 10 mins before someone even checked on them after the first one was sent back. Another table waiting for food the entire time no one came to check their drinks or even water.
in the mean time there were severs cussing about something that sounded personal and even saw someone like a manager walking around the inside part of the downstairs. Outside patio furniture is pretty dirty as well. For somewhere with almost $200 steaks and has a “dress code”, you would think things would be running a little smoother.

We went with a group of friends for dinner. We spent about $1,600. The food was great. Two days later we went back after dinner just to have the pudding… to our surprise, Matt, the waiter was totally disrespectful and rude to the person inviting us all for dessert, coffee and after drinks…. His attitude made all of us forget what a delightful dinner we had two days before and we will never go back again!! It’s so sad when one person can ruin your business!!!

We were looking forward to dining there, but we sat for 10 minutes looking at waiters come and go. We didn’t even get our water filled. If you’re going to charge premium prices then at least provide decent service. A simple acknowledgement would have sufficed. The place was not too busy either so I’m not sure what the excuse is. I hope service is not like that all the time but for now you get one star from me.

Had a great night at brenners. The food was outstanding. I suggest the Brussel sprouts, the mushrooms, and the wagyu strip. Jesse M was our waiter and he crushed it. Really did a great job explaining the menu and the specialty items like the bison, which was a fun dish. Don't skip on the salt service for a kick of flavor, or a flavored butter.
For dessert, try the bread pudding. We had a few things, but that was the best by far. Really fun night with some awesome food.

** Terrible Experience at Brenner’s on the River Walk **
We visited Brenner’s on the River Walk last night around 5:30 p.m. for what was supposed to be a quiet, upscale birthday dinner. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.
The food was overpriced and mediocre — $60 for a tiny, postage-stamp–sized piece of Wagyu steak that tasted no better than an overcooked hamburger. For the prices they charge, the quality and presentation were extremely disappointing.
Despite claiming a “Business Casual” dress code, the atmosphere was anything but refined. Guests were dressed in t-shirts, shorts, and Daisy Duke bluejean cutoffs, which clashed with the restaurant’s supposed upscale image.
To make matters worse, nearly every diner was glued to their phone screens, illuminating the dark dining room with bright light. The final straw came when a couple at the next table started recording a YouTube video using a high-intensity light, completely disrupting what should have been a quiet, intimate meal.
At that point, I’d had enough. I walked out, leaving a few choice words for the inconsiderate YouTube couple, and my wife handled the exorbitant bill.
This was a terrible experience from start to finish. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.
Instead of that lame automated response how about a full refund!!!
